Unusual and interesting conversion of an old school house. Comfortable and well appointed. Tasteful if slightly "quirky" style. Friendly hosts with good local knowledge. Excellent breakfast with local, good quality products. Delicious homemade bread and conserves.

The Old School House is in a very tranquil position, set in beautiful surroundings an ideal spot for a romantic break. The interior is done to a very high standard with all the facilities you require. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful, and the food is top class, could not fault it any way, my only grumble would be that we couldn't stay any longer.

The Old School House in Yelverton is possibly the best and quite comfortable stay for Dartmoor holidays. The location is marvelous, in a lovely area just off the park, two pubs, and Plymouth, and close to main routes. It's situated only 1 km from Drake's Leat, making it perfect for exploring the area.

Loved it and would go back in flash. Quaint hotel, all we needed for short stay in Yelverton. The breakfast was delicious and perfect for what appeared to be mould in the homemade jam with local food. The room was well-appointed on upper level and the location was ideal.

A warm welcome awaited us when we arrived. We were shown to a lounge area which was stunning and so relaxing. The owners have two beautiful cats which we fell in love with, we didnt want to go to our rooms initially as we felt so comfortable and relaxed. The room was lovely and light and airy, windows in the ceiling, kingsize bed, good sized fridge, fresh milk, tea and coffee, luxury. We only stayed one night but we would have liked to have stayed longer.
If we had to say anything negative it would be the check in time of 1700, we felt we would have liked it a bit earlier so that we could have settled in and got freshened up earlier.

The Old School House is ideally located for visiting and exploring the Devon area. The facilities are very comfortable, spotlessly clean and nicely furnished. The owners are friendly, gracious and very helpful. They genuinely take an interest in their guests and do whatever they can to make them feel welcome. The free WiFi is good and the parking is convenient. The meals are excellent and it is obvious that Chris, one of the owners and chef, has had formal training in the culinary arts. Make sure that you ask him to make you pancakes and forget about the calories. Maxine, the other member of the team and co-owner, is one of those, "salt of the earth people" and you will be better for having met her. We hope to be back sometime for another stay and visit.
Nothing!
